SWSG is committed to providing top-tier construction management services. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Structural Engineer located in Herndon, VA. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for designing and analyzing structural components and systems, preparing calculations and reports, and conducting site inspections. Other duties include collaborating with architects and other engineers on project designs, ensuring that all structural plans comply with relevant codes and regulations, and providing technical guidance throughout the construction process. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in structural design and analysis, proficiency with design software Knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations Experience in preparing calculations, reports, and documentation Ability to conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with structural plans Strong collaboration skills to work with architects and other engineers Excellent problem-solving and technical guidance skills Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus Experience in cold-formed steel design is a plus Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder 3 weeks vacation, 1 week sick leave, 12 paid holidays. 90% company-paid medical for family, plus dental and life insurance.
