Position Description
As a Senior Demand Planner, your role will be to develop and present the unconstrained demand plan in accordance with the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process calendar. You will use sales history and demand planning software to generate statistical models that predict future demand. This role can be remote for candidates based in the Greater Atlanta, GA area. You will do this by:
Driving sales demand analytics and developing demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for one or more business units Reviewing historical sales trends, researching market demand drivers, preparing forecast data, developing statistical forecast models, and evaluating forecast results Working closely with Sales, Marketing, and Finance, coordinating cross-functional reconciliation activities on significant variances, and refining the forecast model to reflect updated assumptions Identifying gaps to the Annual Operating Plan, analyzing competitor dynamics, and considering external factors impacting demand Documenting and retaining history of planning assumptions Developing metrics to monitor forecast errors at all levels and ensuring root-cause analysis and corrective actions are completed Facilitating monthly operational demand forecast planning process for multiple business units Understanding environmental factors, market dynamics, competitors, and internal programs or overrides that influence forecast adjustments Performing lead responsibilities such as training, assigning, reviewing work, providing guidance, and overseeing workflow Performing other duties as assigned You are the type of person who is/has:
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to present in front of groups Ability to collaborate across multiple functions and manage conflicting priorities Advanced analytical and statistical skills, including concepts like standard deviation, forecast error, bias, safety stock calculations, and MAPE Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP Experience with Demand Planning systems, preferably Logility Fluency in English and the primary language used in the area of responsibility Education
Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or equivalent education and experience Experience Requirements
Minimum of five years in planning, production planning, forecasting, and supply chain analytics Minimum of five years working with planning tools/software Physical & Environmental Requirements
