Job Overview: Classic Ford Lincoln of Columbia, part of Mills Automotive Group, is seeking a motivated and experienced

Service Dispatcher

to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent organizational skills and a strong ability to lead a team. In this role, you will be responsible for increasing production in the shop, ensuring the flow of work is moving smoothly, maintaining a clean and organized shop environment, and supporting the Shop Foreman with technician training. This is a hands-on leadership position, working directly with the Service Manager, Service Advisors, Shop Foreman, and technicians to oversee day-to-day shop operations.

Key Responsibilities: Lead and Manage

the daily operations of the service department to maximize efficiency and meet production goals. Increase Shop Productivity

by effectively managing work flow, reducing downtime, and ensuring vehicles move quickly and efficiently through the repair process. Maintain a Clean Shop Environment : Ensure that the shop is well-maintained, organized, and meets safety standards. Assist with Technician Training : Work closely with the Shop Foreman to mentor and assist in the training and development of highly skilled technicians. Collaborate with Team Members : Work directly with the Service Manager, Service Advisors, and technicians to ensure communication is clear and the service department is operating efficiently. Monitor Service Progress : Ensure that work is being completed within the expected timeframes and to high standards of quality. Foster a Positive Work Environment : Lead by example, maintaining a productive, supportive, and team-oriented atmosphere in the shop. Optimize Service Flow : Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the service department. Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of service experience

in an automotive service department, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Proven ability to

lead a team

and manage day-to-day operations in a fast-paced environment. Strong

organizational skills

with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively. Exceptional

people skills

with the ability to motivate and communicate with a diverse team. Ability to

train and mentor technicians , helping them grow and stay current with industry advancements. A proactive,

self-motivated

individual with a hands-on approach to problem-solving. Experience working in an

automotive service environment , preferably with Ford vehicles. Strong attention to detail and commitment to
