Cyber Security Analyst
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to support a critical CSOC supporting a national intelligence program in Springfield, VA. The team is seeking a skilled analyst and incident responder to provide detection, identification, and reporting of a highly classified security operations center. Clearance: Active TS/SCI CI Polygraph Clearance Location: Springfield, VA Shift: Wednesday-Saturday 6AM-4PM This job opens for applications on 8/15/2025. Applications for this job will be accepted for at least 30 days from the posting date. Responsibilities of the Cyber Security Analyst:
Provides detection, identification, and reporting of possible cyber-attacks/intrusions, anomalous activities, and misuse activities Characterizes and performs analysis of network traffic and system data to identify anomalous activity and potential threats to resources Performs security event and incident correlation using information gathered from a variety of sources within the enterprise Performs cyber incident triage to include determining scope, urgency, and potential impact; identify the specific vulnerability and make recommendations which enable expeditious remediation Tracks and documents cyber incidents from initial detection through final resolution Analyzes and assesses damage to the data / infrastructure as a result of cyber incidents Performs cyber incident trend analysis and reporting Qualifications of the Cyber Security Analyst:
Active TS/SCI CI Polygraph required in order to be considered Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline and 5+ years of prior relevant experience IAT Level II (GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security) certification required Experience with PCAP analysis using Wireshark Experience utilizing Splunk SIEM Experience working in a Cybersecurity Operations Center environment desired Experience with COTS technologies used in a Cybersecurity Operations Center environment desired Working knowledge of current COTS Cybersecurity technologies. Working knowledge of database and operating system security. Understanding of latest security principles, techniques, and protocols. Compensation of the Cyber Security Analyst:
Total compensation based on experience level - $110,000-$135,000+ based on experience level Full Benefits: PTO, 11 Paid Holidays, Sick leave as required by state law, Cigna Medical, Dental, and Vision, 401k with ADP Certification reimbursement Contract mobility and job stability - Contract through 2026
