Under the direction of the Teen Center Supervisor, this position is responsible for assisting in the operation of the boxing program, including teaching youth boxing fundamentals, supervising the facility and equipment, and performing other assigned duties.
We are seeking an Assistant Boxing Trainer with a minimum of two years' experience. Must be able to work Monday through Friday from 3pm to 7pm and on some weekends.
The following tasks are essential for this position. Incumbents may not perform all tasks or may perform similar related tasks not listed here:
Assist with the supervision and operation of the boxing gym and program.
Enforce and follow all rules, regulations, and policies of the City of Duarte.
Organize, officiate, and instruct children and adults; teach fundamentals of boxing and sportsmanship.
Assist in maintaining and cleaning the facility and equipment.
Assist patrons and staff in routine and emergency situations, including administering first aid.
Make recommendations for acquiring or replacing equipment and supplies.
Enforce rules and regulations of the recreational facility to maintain discipline and safety.
Perform other related duties as required.
Knowledge of:
Effective youth supervision and discipline.

Functions, policies, and procedures of relevant departments and operations.
English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
