The Temporary Live Productions Warehouse Technician prepares and returns rental equipment orders assisting departments as needed. This is an on call, part time role with a 6 month contract.
Your day will look like this:
Together with the dept. manager, coordinate the preparation of orders on a priority basis Prepare, scan and pack equipment for transportation The technician may be required to customize the equipment if requested by the customer according to the purchase order depending on dept.
Complete the lists in the R2 software Modify the equipment parameters Program equipment according to the standards and needs of the client Prepare racks and interconnection of systems Install versions and updates of software/computer programs Ensure to supply all necessary accessories for operation of equipment (e.g., wiring, adapter, PSU, gelatin, bracket, remote control, etc.)
Ensure that all equipment is in clean and working condition Ensure the order and cleanliness of work areas Report any breaks and/or missing items to the supervisor Keep track of inventories, kits, cable assembly bundles, etc. Respond to any questions or issues technicians may have, as well as to those from coordinators and technicians on the road Clean and visually inspect returned equipment Upgrade items to the current version (e.g., painting, cleaning, etc.) Follow quality standards as well as the company's and/or industry's standards of preparation Loading and unloading of outbound and inbound equipment All other duties related to the position May be required to work in the following departments:
Sound, Lighting, Video and Rigging, networking, shipping & receiving Your profile:
High School Diploma or GED Less than 1 year of experience in a live event production or event rental equipment Less than 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment Knowledge of inventory software (an asset) Knowledge of Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) Knowledge in live event production equipment Strong interpersonal skills Ability to communicate information in a logical and clear way Ability to work alone and in a team environment Good ability to self-start and prioritize within tight deadlines Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change Strong customer service skills Forklift certification (an asset) Physical Requirements:

Under the responsibility of the department supervisor, the technician must prepare the equipment that is rented and return the merchandise to the warehouse by performing verifications or repairs if necessary.
With the collaboration of the workshop technicians and using the order form, prepare generally basic orders, scan them, and insert them in the transportation boxes; With the help of the technician, ensure that all necessary accessories for the operation of the equipment are provided (cabling, PSU, gelatin, bracket remote control, etc.); Perform verification tests to ensure that all equipment is in good working condition; Clean and perform a visual inspection on all equipment; Upgrade items (ex: painting, cleaning, etc.); Follow the quality and preparation standards of the company and/or industry; All other duties related to the position. AEC ou DEC dans un domaine pertinent de l'audiovisuel 2 4 ans d'exprience dans un atelier d'quipements audiovisuels ou sur des vnements tre en mesure de soulever des charges; Dmontrer de la flexibilit quant son horaire de travail; Exprience dans un entrept, un atelier ou une usine; Permis de chariot lvateur valide (un atout); Matrise de l'anglais de base, parl et crit (un atout); Sens de l'organisation et de la minutie trs dvelopp; Attitude positive; tre autonome; Orient vers le travail d'quipe et l'esprit de collaboration; Dmontrer de la flexibilit et tre en mesure de travailler avec des horaires variables; Habilit travailler sous pression et capacit s'adapter aux changements. AEC or DEC in a relevant audiovisual field Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in an audiovisual equipment workshop or on events Able to lift heavy loads; Show flexibility in his working schedule; Experience in a warehouse, a workshop or a plant; Valid forklift driver's license (an asset); Master basic English, both oral and written (an asset); Highly developed organizational skills and meticulousness; Positive attitude; Autonomous; Team-work oriented and cooperation spirit; Show flexibility towards flextime schedules; Ability to work under pressure and easily adapt to changing.
