THE VENUE

Legends Hospitality is proud to Partner with Circle Line Cruises, New York’s oldest provider of chartered sightseeing cruises, in delivering a premium hospitality experience to guests. In addition to daily cruises on six sailing vessels throughout the city, Circle Line hosts various special events cruises including a New Year’s Eve and Fourth of July celebration in addition to charters for private parties and events.

The RoleReporting directly to the Banquet Supervisors, the Banquet Server position is responsible for delivering and serving food and/or beverage items to VIP clientele in a friendly, courteous and timely manner resulting in guest satisfaction on our premium, chartered experiences.

Responsibilities:

Set tables to meet the function specifications

Deliver necessary equipment and beverages from storage areas to event location

Set/display food and beverages on buffet tables

Serve food, beverage and accompaniments to clientele in a friendly and courteous manner ensuring guest satisfaction

Quietly remove china, glassware and silverware from meal area

Deliver dirty china, silverware and glassware to the appropriate kitchen’s dish washing station

Return equipment and unused beverages and dirty linen to appropriate storage locations in a neat and organized manner

Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards

Complete other duties as assigned by the Catering Supervisor

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age

Ability to interact with co-workers in order to assure compliance with company service standards

Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette

Knowledge of the appropriate table settings, serviceware and menu items

Must be able to read, speak and write English Language in order to communicate with guests

Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items

Ability to lift and transport items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds

Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time

Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.
