Position summary
Designs, develops, and troubleshoots software solutions with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or address technical problems. Develops secure, high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others. Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate recurring issues to improve operational stability of software applications and systems. Leads evaluation sessions with internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical credentials, and their applicability within existing systems and information architecture. Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote awareness and adoption of new and emerging technologies. Contributes to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience. Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability. Advanced proficiency in Java, J2EE, and RESTful web services for enterprise application development. Experience with event streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka. Proficiency with NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, DynamoDB) and relational databases. Experience with automation and continuous delivery methods. Proficiency across all aspects of SDLC in Agile methodology. Advanced understanding of CI/CD, application resiliency, and security. Ability to build and maintain software applications within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, AI, machine learning). Deep understanding of the financial services industry and IT systems. Practical experience with cloud-native architectures and deployment. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience designing large-scale, distributed systems and optimizing performance. AWS Developer or Architect Certifications. In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and IT systems. About us
