A Manufacturing Controls Engineer in the Production Engineering in Coatings team will be a part of operating, sustaining, and optimizing advanced manufacturing equipment and leading-edge technologies. The best candidate for the position has a high aptitude for learning and adapting quickly in a high paced environment. In this role, you will work closely with cross functional manufacturing teams to provide technical controls, electrical, and automation support for new coatings line equipment. You will drive improvements to factory control systems, ensuring standardization and effective knowledge sharing across manufacturing lines. Responsibilities Develop, debug, and document structured PLC code interacting with conveyors, robots, MES, vision systems, and 3rd-party equipmentDesign user-friendly SCADA, ANDON, and HMI systems for the manufacturing linesDesign NFPA79/NEC/UL508A-compliant control panels and create electrical, pneumatic, and fluid schematics.
