Limited Part-Time Medical Assistant
Are you passionate about helping kids be their best selves? UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a Limited Part-Time Medical Assistant to support the office in Washington. Weekend and evening availability required to support the hours of operation. Clinic Hours: 4:30p-9p mon-fri 9:30a-6p sat, 9:30a-6p sun Pediatric Medical Assistant experience preferred. Patient Care:
Document patient information and relay instructions. Clinic Operations:
Prepare and clean patient rooms, manage inventory, and ensure infection control. Administrative Tasks:
Schedule appointments, verify insurance, manage charts, and handle front office duties. Compliance:
Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and PA Department of Health regulations. Maintain strict confidentiality. Support:
Assist patients with walking, transfers, dressing, and collecting specimens. Answer calls and provide patient education. Medication Administration:
Administer injectable medication and vaccines under physician supervision. High school diploma or equivalent. Prior pediatric office experience strongly preferred. Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: CPR certification within 30 days of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73.
