Our client is looking for a skilled Senior Control Engineer to join a high-performing automation team developing and supporting next-generation production equipment for cutting-edge industries including aerospace, AI, and automotive. Responsibilities Design and implement control systems for new and existing in-house automation equipment Develop electrical schematics, specify components, and integrate machine-to-network communication Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, servo controls, vision systems such as Cognex, and robotics including 6-Axis and SCARA Lead or support automation projects from concept through deployment, balancing short-term support with long-term improvements Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and optimize performance Provide hands-on support for control systems including VFDs, pneumatics, sensors, and motion controllers Create documentation including BOMs, user manuals, wiring diagrams, and system layouts Maintain compliance with electrical safety and industry standards including NFPA and OSHA Contribute to capital equipment projects and research emerging technologies in automation and vision systems Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing automation Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming, robotics and servo control, and electrical design Strong background in troubleshooting and optimizing control systems Familiarity with CAD tools and standard office software Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-driven mindset
