Job Summary :

The

Commercial Loan Documentation Specialist II

administers processes required to support the creation, closing, review, perfection and securing of loan documentation and collateral for the Commercial Loan portfolio. Perform all responsibilities to ensure compliance with established goals for timeliness and accuracy.

Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to:

Administer processes for transmittal, review, retention and monitoring of loan documents in the commercial lending portfolio, including, but not limited to:

Review and understand commercial loan terms, conditions and financial components as detailed in credit approval documents. Identify potential problems and solutions. Provide guidance to business partners and coworkers as necessary. Review Processor loan file and checklist to ensure a complete loan file. Create loan document package for each approved loan that complies with the loan's approved terms and conditions. Documentation may include, but is not limited to, notes, security agreements/mortgages, guarantees, assignments, stock powers, account holds, UCC filings and subordination agreements, closing instructions and other supporting documents. Complete documentation checklist to ensure accuracy of loan documents. Demonstrate a level of expertise of loan documentation language and interact with loan officers to review potential changes. Transmit loan closing packages to quality assurance team timely to ensure closing date commitments are met.

Create and files UCCs needed per credit approval. Develop and maintain a sound knowledge of Bank policies, procedures, and compliance requirements with thorough knowledge of all forms of commercial loan documentation and closing requirements. Assist with loan file imaging, as needed. Assist with follow up on tickler reports, as needed. Participate in team meetings as appropriate and/or requested. Complies with all rules and regulations associated with commercial loans. Perform duties related to the Bank Secrecy Act under the guidance of the BSA Officer. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned. Loan Documentation Specialist II may process more complex side jobs, and serve as resource to Loan Documentation Specialist I. Skills and Abilities Required to Perform Essential Job Functions:

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong understanding of flood procedures and flood insurance. Strong understanding of title work. Strong understanding of hazard, business personal property, builders' risk and general liability insurance. Strong internal and external customer service focus. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Advanced organizational and time management skills. Must be self-reliant and self-directed enough to take independent action and make recommendations to loan officers and management.

Education, Experience

and Qualifications:

High School Diploma Associate degree preferred. Typically requires a minimum of three (3) years of loan documentation and closing experience with a focus on standard real estate and commercial transactions. Ability to review and analyze title documents to secure the Bank's lien position in accordance with loan approval criteria. Proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to assess and establish a clear understanding of corporate business structures and related by-laws and/or rules of operation. Ability to review and evaluate a borrowing entity's formation documents to ensure appropriate permissions and approval authorities are in place. Outstanding customer service skills and follow through with internal and external customers. Ability to communicate professionally in person, in writing, and over the telephone. Demonstrated ability to work productively and independently as well as with others to contribute to the effectiveness of the team. Detail oriented with strong organizational and mathematical skills. Ability to meet established goals through effective time management that allows handling of multiple priorities with competing deadlines throughout the workday. Working knowledge of LaserPro and Fiserv preferred for Loan Documentation Specialist I, strong knowledge of both systems for Loan Documentation Specialist II, and advanced knowledge of both systems for Loan Documentation Specialist III. Proficiency in the use of personal computers and standard software applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Abrigo/Sageworks, preferred. Physical Requirements of Essential Job Functions:

The associate is frequently required to sit and/or stand, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects, tools or controls that are typical of an office/bank environment. Lifting items weighting up to 10 pounds on a consistent basis. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 80% of the work period while operating equipment such as computers, phones, calculators, etc.

Working Conditions:

Typical office environment. Extended viewing of computer screens. Periodic travel between locations may be required. Typical work week is M-F 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; After hours and weekend work required if business needs.
