Reporting to Assistant Director of Admissions, the Processing Coordinator in the Office of Admissions coordinates efforts of admissions and/or enrollment offices. Duties include but not limited to: - Coordinates workshops, intake screenings, interviews and orientations for new students - Counsels prospective applicants on requirements and standards and provides general information on programs and services in person or by telephone, e-mail or letter; conducts follow up as needed - Assists in conducting open house sessions and orientations, including group sessions and programs at high schools and in the community at large - Assists with day-to-day administration and an admissions or enrollment office, including scheduling and preparing and distributing materials - Represents the Admission Office to the college's internal and external communities as directed - Maintains and updates program databases, lists and files to ensure completeness and accuracy - Performs related duties as assigned. POSITION DETAILS - Manage the processing of undergraduate and graduate applications, ensuring timely and accurate data entry in CUNYfirst and Slate. - Maintain and update applicant records. - Respond to applicant inquiries regarding admissions status, documentation requirements, and college policies. - Assist with the preparation of reports and application data for institutional planning and enrollment tracking. - Contribute to the development and maintenance of process manuals and workflow documentation. - Supervise and train College Assistants and student workers as needed. - Oversee the collection, verification, and organization of required admissions documents (e.g., transcripts, residency documentation, test scores). - Communicate with students regarding incomplete applications and assist them in completing the admissions process. - Coordinate with academic departments and faculty for the review and decision-making of graduate applications. - Support the onboarding of newly admitted students by collaborating with key offices such as the Onboarding Advisement, Registrar, Bursar, Financial Aid, and Student Affairs. - Assist in the implementation of Slate for graduate admissions and support communication workflows for both undergraduate and graduate applicants. - Duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Admissions *Hybrid: 70% In-Person **QUALIFICATIONS** Bachelors degree required. - Experience or familiarity with online admissions systems and CRMs (e.g., Slate and PeopleSoft). - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. - Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to engage with diverse populations. - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. - Knowledge of the Lehman College and CUNY admission and academic requirements and policies. - Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends. **CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW** Coordinates efforts of admissions and/or enrollment offices. - Coordinates workshops, intake screenings, interviews and orientations for new students - Counsels prospective applicants on requirements and standards and provides general information on programs and services in person or by telephone, e-mail or letter; conducts follow up as needed - Assists in conducting open house sessions and orientations, including group sessions and programs at high schools and in the community at large - Assists with day-to-day administration and an admissions or enrollment office, including scheduling and preparing and distributing materials - Represents the Admission Office to the college's internal and external communities as directed - Maintains and updates program databases, lists and files to ensure completeness and accuracy - Performs related duties as assigned.
