In Kansas City, Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administrations (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus.This state-of-the-art engineering, manufacturing and sourcing facility produces a wide array of intricate components to deliver trusted national security products and government services primarily for the NNSA.Honeywell FM&Ts culture of integrity, commitment and continuous improvement enables them to deliver responsive, collaborative and innovative management and technology services and products that translate into cutting edge solutions to complex national security issues.
Summary
The Lead Network Analyst performs and oversees a variety of key functions to ensure network infrastructure is available, reliable, and secure. Applies advanced judgment and analysis in the evaluation, selection, installation, and maintenance of hardware systems that are highly visible and critical to the business. This position will serve as the technical lead to projects that are large and/or complex in nature, and will work closely with project leads, IT management, and IT architects. The Lead Network Administrator will provide mentorship to new team members, as well as provide technical guidance to the rest of the team through documentation and continual training.
Duties And Responsibilities
Design, configure, install, ensure security, and ongoing support infrastructure expertly. Lead the network design, performance and capacity planning and implementation of large-scale datacenter and campus environments. Develop presentations to a variety of audiences to communicate technical vision, status of high visibility network projects, and recommendations to sustain business growth needs. Implement and maintain disaster recovery methodologies and create documentation that follows industry best practices. Proactively identifies and implements Continuous Improvement initiatives. Collaborate with technical peers at Honeywell Corporate and other sites within NSE in support of NNSA Mission. Propagate knowledge and operations readiness through documentation and mentorship. Perform analysis of competing technologies and products to meet business requirements.
You Must Have
Bachelors degree in the field of Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, or Physical Science with a minimum of 24 semester hours of computer related courses or two additional years of equivalent work experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree. Seven or more years of networking administration experience, of which a minimum of three years at a senior level in a larger scale or enterprise environment. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job. Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business. Ability to travel as determined by the needs of the business. United States Citizenship Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)

Experience in managing cloud-based networking solutions on AWS (and other cloud platforms Demonstrated experience planning and executing medium to large infrastructure projects including the design, selection, purchase, testing, installation, and documentation of network systems. Demonstrated experience scripting in the support of automating enterprise services, user processes and infrastructure maintenance. Advanced knowledge of SDN concepts. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated initiative to maintain technical currency through outside studies and training.
