Position Summary
The Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Front Desk staff to maximize revenues and profits while attaining optimal guest satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures all guests are provided friendly, courteous, and timely service, and that all policies and service standards are followed. Responds promptly to guest inquires and complaints. Responsible for the training and development of staff. Supervises, coaches and counsels all Front Desk Agents. Responsible for ensuring that employee performance appraisals are done in a timely manner. Will assist in helping supervise assigned staff. Documents employee corrective actions as needed. Evaluates and provides feedback to employees and documents in performance journals. Responsible for maintenance of room inventory to achieve optimal levels of guest satisfaction. Works with accounting to reconcile revenue from each shift. Works closely with Reservations Supervisor, Hotel Sales, Catering, and Marketing Departments. Must attend and complete are required departmental training. Creates an environment of teamwork through strong communication, guidance and support as needed, and recognition for performance excellence. Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned scheduled each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo Sandia. A quality guest service experience is an essential component for all Team members working at the Pueblo of Sandia particularly those positions assigned to work in all public areas. Team members in this capacity:
Serves as the initial point of contact for guest inquiries in a courteous and attentive manner. Reflects a sense of trust, comfort and understanding by demonstrating empathy for guests when problems occur. Resolves all issues in a timely manner, ensuring guest satisfaction and exceeding expectations. Possesses knowledge and understanding of all products and services offered. Builds relationships with guests based upon, respect, and confidence while maintaining a friendly, and approachable demeanor. Key Performance Indicators
This position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) identified as a measurement of success. KPI's will be shared with all team members who work in this job title and feedback will be provided regarding the successful completion of the KPI's as part of the performance review process.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Needs to be competent in knowledge of Computer and Windows software. Must have proficiency in Customer Service. Must be able to write and orally communicate effectively. Analytical Skills and Creative thinking are needed. Will be able to work autonomously as well as in a small team. Knowledge of reservation systems. Must have ability to lead by example. Strong organizational and technical skills. Need to have the skill to demonstrate proper techniques, procedures and standards to employees. The capability to coach employees on problem resolution and conflict de-escalation. The aptitude to create a courteous, friendly, and professional work environment. Must show the potential to teach, motivate, supervise, and grow. Requirements:
Education and Experience
Required:
Two (2) years Front Desk or Reservation experience, to include one (1) year in supervisory capacity. Or three (3) years of progressive work experience working directly for Sandia Resort may be considered for internal candidates. Must be at least 18 years of age. High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Preferred:
Associate's degree in Hospitality/Hotel Management or related field. One (1) Year Supervisory Experience. Note: Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy education and/or work experience.
License/Certifications/Registrations
Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation. Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.
