Description

Essential Functions of the Job

1. Work alongside the Donation Team, by being an example of positivity to all staff and donors,

ensuring a productive environment.

2. Embrace the role of the Voice of Blue Mountain Purpose and Blue Mountain Thrift Stores by

proactively learning the intricate details of Blue Mountain Thrift Stores and be able to accurately

answer any questions regarding Blue Mountain Thrift Stores.

3. Answer all incoming phone calls with a helpful, pleasant attitude that exudes joy and reveals

happiness.

4. Communicate with the donor in a pleasant and peaceful manner to build a relationship of trust

and gratitude to ensure they will become repeat donors.

5. Accurately capture all necessary donor information in Google Drive and ThriftTrac.

6. Schedule donation pickups via Google Calendar.

7. Efficiently transfer calls to different stores and departments as necessary.

8. Work in Google Maps to effectively schedule the most efficient route the drivers should take to

pick up donations.

9. Call and follow up with all donors to receive honest and valuable feedback that will help us to

continue to improve our processes and professionalism.

10. Report any significant on-the-job personal injuries within 24 hrs, to keep supervisor and Team

Services department informed and to assure that the correct protocol is taken.

11. Communicate in a timely manner any complaints, criticism, and feedback to Stakeholders and

Director as necessary.

12. Grow and maintain Blue Mountain Thrift Stores donor base by reaching out to 15-25 local,

regional and national businesses, schools and Homeowners associations per day.

13. Contact a minimum of 10 potential donors per day on Facebook Marketplace.

14. Connect churches with the Corners of Your Field program.

15. Research properties and portfolios for bin placements.

16. Respond to Pick Up My Donation leads via phone call and email.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

1. Ability to use cell phone, tablet and GPS devices

2. Basic ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide

3. Ability to read (in English), comprehend, analyze, and interpret.

4. Ability to read (in English) and interpret documents such as policy/procedure manuals.

5. Comfortable and well-versed in Google Drive, Microsoft Office, including Excel.

6. Must be a people person with a willing attitude and have a servant's heart

7. Must have a commitment to the Blue Mountain Thrift Stores mission

8. Ability to read and define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

9. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written or oral form.

Planning & Organizing

1. Must be detail-oriented and have solid organizational skills.

2. Must be able to prioritize the needs of the store in an effective and efficient manner according to the

standards set by the Director of Stores.

3. Must possess a demonstrable level skill and proficiency in planning so as to meet established goals.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school graduate or equivalent. One to two years in related experience is preferred.

WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS

- Full Time: Available Monday through Saturday with possibility of alternating Saturdays when

possible.

- Attendance at specific meetings or off-site events or training may be required.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES PERMITTED TO HELP RETAIL DEPARTMENT

All help is subject to the retail manager's direction

- Putting out clothing

- Putting out carts of miscellaneous

- Helping run the register

- Helping bag customer orders

- Assisting customers with furniture purchases

Salary

$15 - $17 per hour
