Job DescriptionJoin a growing leader in the chemical manufacturing industry as a Lead Engineer responsible for the maintenance and reliability of rotating equipment at our flagship production facility. This is a high-impact role for a technical expert and cross-functional leader looking to make a measurable difference in plant performance, equipment life cycle, and asset care optimization.Key Responsibilities:Develop and enhance reliability strategies that align with business goals-identifying critical spare equipment, setting inventory parameters, and advancing preventive maintenance (PM) programs and asset care plans.Drive plant performance improvements by implementing equipment/process changes that increase OEE, yields, reliability, and process quality.Analyze maintenance data and costs, identifying bad actors and recommending targeted improvements or replacements.Lead cross-functional teams in Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Six Sigma, and other investigative and improvement efforts.Track and report on maintenance and reliability activities, including monthly updates on capital projects and performance metrics.Oversee execution of maintenance work orders, ensuring quality standards are met and operators correctly log issues into JDE. Set and prioritize daily/weekly maintenance schedules.Coordinate RCA investigations for critical equipment failures or reliability incidents, assigning appropriate leaders and resources.Ideal Candidate Profile:Strong background in rotating equipment within the chemical, petrochemical, or heavy industrial sectors.Proven experience with RCM, RCA, Six Sigma, and preventive maintenance programs.Proficiency in CMMS systems (JDE preferred) and a solid understanding of plant operations and reliability engineering.Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.RequirementsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related discipline) required.Minimum 5 years of experience as a Reliability or Maintenance Engineer in a PSM-regulated chemical manufacturing environment.Strong technical expertise in rotating equipment (compressors, pumps, fans, blowers), as well as predictive and preventive maintenance, asset care strategies, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).Deep understanding of applicable industry standards such as API, ASME, PIP, etc.Proven experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Six Sigma methodologies, and CMMS platforms (e.g., JDE).
