Job Description

ECU Department of Joyner Library Services: Circulation Department is seeking several federal work-study Undergraduate Circulation Assistants for Fall 2025/Spring 2026.

The Circulation Department is one of the busiest units within the library, and the first point-of-contact for many patrons. Students working in this department are expected to represent the library by providing exemplary customer service both at the front desk and in the stacks.

On a daily basis, the Circulation Student Assistants will: Check in and out materials, answer questions, and assist patrons at the front desk Assist in opening and closing duties for the department as needed Assist with equipment inventory and cleaning projects Any other special tasks necessary to assist in the day-to-day functions of the department

Over the Fall/Spring, the Circulation Department will be open Monday-Thursday from 8:00 AM-10:00 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Saturday 10AM-5PM and Sunday from 10 AM-10 PM. We are looking for a student to work the morning and/or afternoon shifts.

Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)
