Cordia Resources is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager to lead key aspects of our financial operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, and audit preparation. The ideal candidate will have strong and recent experience with Unanet, and a solid background in GAAP and government contracting environments.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the monthly close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and internal reports Oversee audit preparation, including documentation and coordination with external auditors Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal policies, and government regulations Maintain and optimize financial processes in Unanet, ensuring data integrity and efficiency Support budgeting and forecasting efforts as needed Collaborate with cross-functional teams including contracts, HR, and project management
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CPA candidate preferred 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a government contracting environment Strong recent experience with Unanet is required In-depth understanding of GAAP and government cost principles (FAR, DCAA compliance) Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
