Position Summary Information

Duties

The Athens State University Spirit Store is seeking part-time temporary workers, up to 19 hours per week as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist customers with purchases of school-branded merchandise and gifts. Operate the cash register. Restock shelves, organize displays, and maintain a clean and welcoming store environment. Provide friendly, helpful service to students, faculty, alumni, and campus visitors. Support and assist during special campus events or sales. Assist students and provide support for book related materials. Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

High School diploma or its equivalent required. Must be available to work early morning and evening hours Must have a willingness to learn or prior experience in preparing and serving coffee. Friendly with excellent customer service Able to work in a fast-paced environment Able to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization Passionate about coffee QUALICATIONS PREFERRED:

Coffee experience preferred ServSafe certification preferred but not required

Salary Schedule

Wage minimum $15.00 per hour. No benefits, temporary, part-time as needed

Located in historic Athens, Alabama, Athens State University offers junior and senior-level coursework to community college graduates and transfer students holding sufficient credits from other institutions. Approximately 3,000 students each semester have selected Athens State because of its neighborly environment where over 50 majors and degree programs are offered, with courses taught by a supportive and exceptional faculty.
