We are looking for a Production Scheduler! WE OFFER GREAT BENEFITS!A trimester (four-month period) monetary incentive based on meeting standard operating margin and inventory turn goals while meeting delivery and quality commitments.Weekly payrollStart accruing vacation from day one! ABOUT SEYER INDUSTRIESFounded in 1957, Seyer Industries is a small business located in St. Peters, Missouri, specializing in high-complexity machined parts and assemblies for the aerospace and maritime industries. Seyer is a turnkey supplier with extensive capabilities, including CNC machining, design engineering, mechanical assembly, chemical processing, painting, kitting, welding, and NADCAP-certified penetrant and magnetic particle inspection. Duties and Responsibilities:Engage with Production Control Manager to review and assess system settings to assure scheduling parameters are aligned with Customer obligationsWork with Production Control Manager to balance safety and buffer stocks with business Inventory Turn objectivesKeep Production Manager informed of critical issues which affect production scheduleProgress/Issues of jobsIdentify delays in Production; Machine issues, Quality issues, Planning/Programming issues, etc.Collaborate with Customer Account Manager (CAM) to proactively address schedule risk items to develop and implement plans to maintain delivery schedulesMonitor Non-recurring Engineering efforts are completed to support production schedulesMonitor and manage job release queues to assure on time start to Epicor Scheduled start datesReview/Manage Job Scheduling Factors in Epicor ERP to more efficiently schedule individual jobsAdjust schedules/machine priorities when necessary, utilizing Resource Scheduling Board/Part Queue's to manage machine loadsCommunicate with Planning/Programming when changes are needed as driven by scheduleMonitor progress of critical path and Late Jobs using Job Notifications/Follow UpsAssign actions to functional groups in response to system suggestions or to raise awareness of schedule risk itemsBuild, compile & analyze production reportsConform to all requirements of Seyer Industries Quality System and any and all customer invoked quality requirements (AS9100, for example).Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S standards.Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as required.Support continuous improvement initiativesRequirements, Skills, and Qualifications:Associate's degree or equivalent technical training in manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain requiredAssociate's degree or equivalent technical training in manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain requiredExperience with MRP/ERP systems required; Epicor Kinetic highly desirableProfessional certification by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) desirableProduction Control experience highly desirableGeneral familiarity with manufacturing operationsComfortable with PC and Apple devicesWork well in a team environment, but capable of self-managing/initiation as neededStrong communication & interpersonal skillsMust possess solid organizational skills and be able to multitaskPossess leadership skills and ability to lead with a positive attitude Attention to detail, with a strong work ethicStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skillsAll job offers are contingent on the successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check.EOE disability/veteran - We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate.
