Gas Operations ensures the safe and reliable flow of natural gas to customers. Responsible for PG&E's gas distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance, construction, restoration, and emergency response. Position Summary
Provide GIS and database support for risk management duties. Respond to queries, resolve technical issues, and support the preparation of annual regulatory reports. This hybrid role requires working remotely and at the San Ramon location, with travel as needed for projects, meetings, and training. Compensation
Estimated salary range: $102,000 - $162,000, based on skills, experience, and other factors. Eligible for PG&E's incentive programs. Job Responsibilities
Support data integration and advanced user needs Develop data gathering, integration, and quality control procedures for geospatial data Identify and lead improvements in data quality and process workflows Lead GIS-related projects and special initiatives Maintain metadata and document GIS workflows Assist in preparing reports for FERC, SEC, OPS, and CPUC Support enterprise GIS data modeling and software development Manage GIS software, hardware, and database projects Collaborate with teams and vendors, providing technical communication Lead process improvement projects and share lessons learned Commit to safety and identify Safety Critical Elements Provide guidance for the Integrity Management Program Mentor GIS Technical Specialists Qualifications
Minimum: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience 5 years GIS application experience 3 years utility industry experience 3 years ArcGIS 9.x or later experience Desired: Additional relevant experience or certifications, including ArcFM or PODS Current PG&E gas engineering employee Experience in utility industry, project work, safety, programming, and collaboration skills
