Develop embedded software for control of Bobcat hydro-electrical systems, including control systems for loaders, AWS, Toolcat, compact tractors, and excavators. Utilize Bobcat software development processes for coding, modeling, and testing these control systems. Role & Responsibilities Testing Develop, perform, and document software unit tests in simulation environments. Develop, perform, and document software functional tests in lab or field environments. Conduct system integration testing for new software.
Software Process
Follow the Bobcat Software Development Lifecycle to ensure quality in embedded software work products. Collaborate with SW manager to improve software processes. Maintain all software work products using SCM and Test Track.
Coding
Lead code review meetings and participate in code walk-throughs. Write, maintain, and manage source code and work products for Bobcat equipment. Manage revisions and changes using SCM.
Requirements Documentation & Project Scope
Develop and maintain software for existing and new electrical system controllers. Estimate requirements and effort for projects. Lead requirement review meetings and maintain documentation.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering. 5-7 years of experience. Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office. Experience with off-highway equipment is desirable.
