Bering Straits Global Innovations (BSGI), a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is seeking a qualified, highly motivated individual with DoD contract experience. The candidate will perform all facets of the East Coast model, including business development, marketing, contract management, estimating, proposal writing, budget tracking, and other tasks as assigned. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Previous Federal contract experience (DOD and Civilian agencies) Management of task order contracts Estimating experience Experience with project buyout Ability to read prints (civil, structural, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.) Experience writing sources sought, requests for information, proposals Business development background including proposal development Ability to suggest value-engineered options to customers with restrictive budgets RSMeans experience Microsoft Project/P6 experience MAXIMO experience Non-Essential Duties
Have existing relationships with Federal government & DoD customers Previous experience working with 8(a) companies Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications
Certified Construction Manager or Bachelors degree in a Construction/Engineering related field and eight plus years experience OSHA 30 Certification (can be obtained after employment) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Familiarity with the Microsoft Suite Current favorable National Agency Check with Inquiry (NACI) Valid Drivers License Respect for cultural differences; promotes diversity and a harassment-free environment Integrity, trustworthiness, and organizational values Physical Requirements
Must meet physical demands to perform essential functions, with reasonable accommodations for disabilities. Regularly sit, talk, hear, walk, use hands, reach, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Work Environment
Primarily office environment with exposure to extreme weather conditions during site visits. May encounter fumes, chemicals, and loud noises. Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervision will grow with contract awards. Initially, focus on business development and project management, with management responsibilities increasing as contracts are secured. Additional Qualifying Factors
Pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks Reliable transportation and ability to access military installations Shareholder Preference
