HR Generalist
who is passionate about people, thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, and brings a strong balance of structure, empathy, and execution to the role.
Role Overview:
The
HR Generalist
will play a central role in supporting TWG’s People & Culture operations. This position will focus on key areas such as
employee relations, onboarding, compliance, HR systems, performance support, and frontline team engagement . You will work across our retail and corporate teams to help maintain a high-performance, inclusive, and values-aligned culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations & Engagement
Support positive employee relations by addressing inquiries, resolving minor conflicts, and escalating issues when appropriate. Support the execution of engagement and recognition programs aligned with TWG’s mission. Onboarding & Offboarding
Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation scheduling, system setup, and cultural integration. Ensure smooth offboarding experiences, conducting exit interviews and analyzing feedback trends. HR Operations & Compliance
Maintain HR records, documentation, and employee files in accordance with legal requirements and internal policies. Support compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as internal DEI and safety standards. Manage background checks, I-9s, and reporting tasks as needed. Performance & Development Support
Assist with performance documentation, feedback tracking, and improvement plans in partnership with managers. Help identify opportunities for training and culture-building initiatives. Systems & Administration
Utilize HRIS tools (ADP) for data entry, reporting, and administrative tasks. Prepare reports, update organizational charts, and support payroll-related coordination as needed. Qualifications:
2–4 years of experience in an HR Generalist, Coordinator, or People Operations role (retail or multi-site preferred). Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels. Detail-oriented and organized with experience handling confidential information. Working knowledge of HR laws and best practices. Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace. A passion for culture, equity, and supporting frontline teams is essential.
