ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Other duties may be assigned

Assists instructional personnel with the development and presentation of learning materials and instructional exercises Tutors students individually or in small groups to reinforce and follow up learning activity Assists teacher in maintaining discipline in a positive manner Handles clerical functions related to job responsibilities Assists in administering pre and post-testing of formative assessments Monitors student classroom academic testing results and correlates that information to the planning for the students Plans for and executes tutoring for students as designed by the teachers Helps students master instructional equipment or instructional materials assigned by the teacher Attends assigned professional development and implements new practices successfully Organizes well and takes initiative Demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to be flexible Displays good communication skills Maintains satisfactory attendance Enjoys working with children of all ages, grades, and abilities Complies with Corporation Bylaws, Policies and Employee Handbook Models Corporation Mission Statement and Fundamental Objectives SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Supervises recess, lunchroom, classroom, and restroom breaks when assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum Requirement: High school diploma At least 21 years old

Must be highly qualified by meeting one of the criteria listed below: Two years of college experience (transcripts required) Two-year college degree Completed 48 credit hours of college level classes Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential Pass the Para-Pro Assessments within the first year of employment One year or 1,000 hours of previous employment experience in a school or working with children Passed annual school-level evaluations Completed LEA required professional development modules/training
