Teaching Assistant Position

The Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems at Penn State University Park invites applications for multiple part-time teaching assistants for SCM 406 to start during the fall 2025 semester. Successful candidates may expect up to 10 hours of work per week throughout the regular academic calendar. Job Duties Assist with grading and feedback - Evaluate homework assignments, quizzes, and exams; provide timely and constructive feedback to support student learning Support Course Technology - Assist with managing the Canvas course site by uploading materials, monitoring discussion boards, troubleshooting issues with assignments, and helping set up, administer, and monitor online exams Collaborate with instructor - Work with the course instructor to coordinate teaching activities and prepare instructional and assessment materials Provide office hours Meet with currently enrolled students in specified office hours to assist with homework and assignments Requirements and Qualifications Successful completion of MIS 250 at Penn State or a similar institution Currently enrolled Penn State student Compensation The starting rate for this position is $12.50 per hour.
