School Year / September - June / Monday - Friday, 2pm to 6pm
Salary:
$16.50 / hour
Job Summary:
The
Assistant Group Leader
supports and assists staff in carrying out all planned educational and enrichment activities for the after-school enrichment and recreational program.
Major Duties: Assist the group leader with engaging activities, including sports and recreation, educational, arts and craft and special events Collect attendance folder and other data as necessary Supervise participants throughout afterschool program Distribute snacks and assist with clean-up Assist with monitoring and maintaining the rules of the program and upholding the afterschool model Support activity instructor(s) with lessons. Collaborate with group leader to ensure a safe and supportive environment. Follows all GSS, DYCD and SACC regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old. Must demonstrate reliable and consistent work habits, and ability to work with other youth. Must be available during the program hours listed above. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability and willingness to work in a dynamic team environment. Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based and/or youth development perspective.
