The successful candidate will support the design, implementation, and maintenance of storage and virtualized environments that are critical to the organization's IT operations. This role requires a solid understanding of storage architecture, virtualization platforms, and data management practices to help ensure infrastructure stability, scalability, and performance. ITS is a 24x7 information technology shop. Applicant must be willing and available to perform duties as required by the job. This may include occasional work on nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary. ***Resume must be attached to the application in order to be considered*** Typical Duties Storage Architecture, Implementation, and Management Virtualization and Cloud Integration Backup and Disaster Recovery Automation and Operational Efficiency Technical Support and Troubleshooting Collaboration and Team Coordination Learning and Knowledge Sharing Minimum Qualifications Five (5) years of experience as an IT Infrastructure Engineer with a focus on storage and VMware virtualization. "Additional education may be considered in lieu of some experience" **Candidate must receive and maintain a 'passing' status from Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) background check.** Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply. Note: Per Metro Ordinance No. SO94-1078. All employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the State of Tennessee or become residents of the state within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government.
