Field Engineer/Linux Systems Administrator

Enlighten is looking for a Field Engineer/Linux Systems Administrator to support operational systems at multiple military locations, both CONUS and OCONUS the majority of the time. Will interface with users at all levels to help them understand our product. Must be interested in traveling up to 50% of the time. Hybrid work the rest of the time locally out of our Columbia, MD headquarters. Essential Job Responsibilities

Troubleshoot moderately complex problems which may involve the server and network infrastructure. Provide technical support to the development teams for integrating/deploying applications into the production environment. Provide guidance, recommendations and technical assistance on hardware and software as needed to development teams and project managers. Have a broad understanding of software systems, along with backup and monitoring software, network storage and file storage technologies. Tune, optimize, and troubleshoot environments for the customer. Support the test and deployment of new applications and/or upgrades. Support the maintenance of the accreditation package for software packages. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

Security Clearance: A current Secret level U.S. Government security clearance is required; U.S. Citizen required. Can consider candidates with a TS+ level clearance as well. At least 9 years of experience in Linux Systems Administration with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience. Must have experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, etc. Experience performing software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software applications. Strong customer service and engagement skills. Experience working closely with Software or Systems Development teams to troubleshoot systems and applications. Experience leveraging a ticketing system for support requests (JIRA, ServiceNow, etc.) Must have a DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications (i.e. Security+). Ability to interface with users/customers at multiple military locations. This role requires approximately 50% travel, with trips lasting up to two weeks at a time to both CONUS and OCONUS locations. When not traveling, you'll be on a hybrid schedule working from our Columbia, MD headquarters. A flexible mindset is essential to adapt to schedule changes. Preferred Requirements

Configuration management tools experience a plus (Puppet, Ansible, Chef, etc.) Experience with Big Data technologies is a huge plus (Hadoop, Kafka, Accumulo, Storm, Hortonworks, Cloudera). Experience with Cloud technologies a plus (AWS, Azure) Higher level clearance is desired, but not required. Can consider up to a TS/SCI with a Polygraph.
