HTI is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician for a brand-new multi-metal recycling startup in Augusta, GA. Aurubis is the leading provider of non-ferrous metals and one of the largest copper recyclers worldwide. This German-based company is known for their commitment to environmental sustainability, diversity, and their employees. With plans to be fully operational in mid-2024, this facility is expected to become a major player in the North American supply chain and a significant employer in the greater Augusta area.

Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship now and all dates in the future.

3-5 years of experience in a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician role or similar

High school diploma or equivalent

Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems, including troubleshooting

Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals

Experience working with pumps, electric motors, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatics, hydraulics, and belting systems

Familiarity with PLC systems, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and SAP or similar maintenance tracking systems

Understanding of safety procedures, including approach/restrictive boundaries and NFPA 70E training

Willingness to work flexible hours and respond quickly to urgent maintenance needs What Your Role Will Look Like:

The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining critical production and facility equipment in a high-tech smelting and recycling environment. This includes both mechanical and electrical systems that are vital to production uptime and efficiency.

Support production activities through timely and reliable maintenance support

Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections across plant systems

Troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of equipment, including pumps, motors, conveyors, furnaces, and automation systems

Respond to electrical/mechanical failures to ensure minimal downtime

Utilize root cause diagnostics and document all maintenance work in SAP

Assist with commissioning new equipment being relocated from other Aurubis sites

Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and PPE requirements

Understand and safely operate within high-heat and heavy industrial conditions
