Top technology-driven prime brokerage and FinTech services firm is looking to hire an experienced Business Analyst to join a relatively new team in the US. This role is essential for bridging the gap between business expertise and technology solutions across the firm’s diverse product verticals, including both Digital and Traditional Finance assets. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills, deep technical knowledge, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into precise engineering specifications. Developing familiarity with the firm's systems—including their sophisticated generic ledger, real-time quantitative risk systems, extensive market coverage, and global regulatory reporting and compliance obligations—is crucial for success. Responsibilities: Partner with subject matter experts across multiple financial product verticals to define and document business requirements. Translate complex business needs into actionable technical projects and detailed engineering tasks. Gain a comprehensive understanding of core systems such as the central ledger, quantitative risk platforms, margin frameworks, venue connectivity, and compliance/financial reporting frameworks. Engage with engineers, product managers, business development, operations, and compliance teams to ensure accurate and efficient implementation of solutions. Evaluate system-wide impacts and propose solutions aligned with long-term business goals and technical consistency. Identify opportunities for automation and drive continuous improvement through data-driven approaches. Qualifications: 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role within financial technology or financial services. Strong technical proficiency and understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.). Experience with prime brokerage and clearing across OTC Swaps, FX, Fixed Income / Repo, Exchange-Traded Derivatives, and Synthetics / Equities Options. Ability to quickly learn and navigate sophisticated technology infrastructure and systems. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Proactive, team-oriented mindset with a hands-on approach to tackling complex challenges. This is a full-time, permanent, hybrid role based in New York.
