The Cage Cashier is responsible for handling monetary transactions with guests in the gaming facility's cage area. This role ensures the accurate exchange of currency, chips, and vouchers while maintaining compliance with all internal controls, company policies, and state gaming regulations. Process guest transactions, including exchanging cash for chips, cashing out vouchers, and redeeming tickets. Ensure the accuracy of all monetary transactions by verifying currency and chips. Maintain and reconcile a cash drawer with accuracy, ensuring all variances are reported immediately. Handle credit and debit card transactions in accordance with company policies. Issue player checks and manage marker transactions as needed. Maintain a thorough knowledge of all casino promotions and procedures. Assist with the transfer of cash, chips, or checks between cage windows and other departments. Ensure compliance with all state gaming regulations, company policies, and internal controls. Monitor and report any suspicious activity or transactions in accordance with anti-money laundering (AML) protocols. Provide exceptional guest service by responding to questions and concerns with professionalism and courtesy. Prepare and complete end-of-shift reconciliations and reports. Assist in training new team members as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Other duties as assigned. Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights. Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform transactions accurately under pressure. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of cashier or banking experience preferred. Previous experience in a gaming facility or similar environment preferred. Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming license. The employee is regularly required to stand, speak, hear, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally be required to sit. Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, color and depth perception, and peripheral vision. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds.
