Maintenance Technicians
for immediate full time, day shift positions in our Plant Operations Department.
Under the Lead General Mechanic or assigned Shop Lead, the selected candidates will be responsible for:
DUTIES Assisting and or performing general maintenance tasks related to other departmental shops or tasks necessary to maintaining normal, consistent operation of facility equipment and spaces Inspecting existing systems to actively troubleshoot and identify problems. Performing routine
maintenance
jobs, such as minor welding, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, and minor carpentry repairs to walls, roofs, windows, or ceilings Cleaning all engineering areas or parts thereof. Performing grounds maintenance - snow removal and salt application on walkways Using basic hand and power tools Operating equipment such as snow blowers, brushes, salt spreaders, tractors, bobcats, etc. Participating in group/ team cleanups of hospital properties. Requirements
Must have H.S. or General Equivalency Diploma. Must have clean NYS Driver's License. Basic Reading, writing, and math skills. 3 Years (hospital experience preferred) or skills including carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and other maintenance skills in a corporate setting. May be required to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays, when required by the supervisor.
