CI Search group has been engaged by a leading company in its industry to identify a Senior Indirect Tax Analyst to join their team. This role will focus on multi-state sales tax compliance, with an emphasis on automation and process improvement. Our client is seeking a detail oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to engage in all areas of indirect and property tax. Role Highlights: Prepare and file accurate and timely multi-state and local sales and use tax returns Handle monthly sales tax prepayments and quarterly property tax true-ups. Research sales and use tax issues, monitor regulatory changes, and assess impacts to the business. Support the Director with sales/use tax audits and appeals, including data gathering and communication with authorities. Own and maintain the resale certificate process and database. Participate in internal reverse audits and special tax projects. Maintain the departments tax calendar for compliance deadlines, license renewals, and reports. Assist with ongoing process improvement and automation initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field. 23 years of multi-state sales tax experience Advanced Excel skills, especially with large data sets and complex formulas. Experience with Oracle and tax research tools like Checkpoint. Seniority level
