Project Engineer (Hybrid; based in Elgin, Illinois)

responsible for managing and coordinating customized cable assembly projects to support local and regional growth. Key duties include acting as the technical and economic contact for projects, managing project realization with engineering, supporting new solutions with design and manufacturing considerations, introducing new product designs into production, collaborating across departments and regions, understanding customer specifications, preparing engineering documentation, and providing customer quotations. HARTING aims to be a trusted advisor and partner with OEMs and distribution channels for standard, value-added, and product development initiatives. To succeed, you will: Serve as the local contact for technical and economic aspects of cable assembly projects. Manage projects from technical engineering to realization, based on HARTINGs product portfolio. Support the development of new solutions considering manufacturing and fit-for-purpose design. Manage the introduction of new product designs into production. Collaborate with regional and global teams to support product design and market introduction. Understand drawings, technical specifications, and customer designs. Prepare designs and specifications for supply chain and customer proposals. Provide customer quotations and proposals within company policy. Must have: Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical) At least 3 years of relevant experience HARTING Americas, a subsidiary of the German-based HARTING Technology Group, develops durable, reliable solutions for various industrial segments worldwide.
