Find out more about EPS at our website: https://www.energyprojectsolutions.com/ Job Summary The Project Manager - Data Center Power Delivery position within our Development Services division will lead the end-to-end development and execution of data center projects, from initial site selection through operational handoff. This role serves as a central point of coordination between project stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to technical specifications. The Project Manager will oversee technical aspects of infrastructure, backup systems, and connectivity solutions, while maintaining compliance with industry codes and standards. Key responsibilities include managing site assessments, securing necessary agreements and permits, contracting and coordinating with external vendors, and ensuring SCADA, fiber, and electrical systems meet project requirements. The role involves engaging with stakeholders, including utilities, regulatory agencies, landowners, and community leaders, to support project development and build long-term partnerships. Additionally, the Project Manager will lead proposal development and build long-term partnerships. Additionally, the Project Manager will lead proposal development, contract negotiations, and team resource planning, while mentoring junior staff. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic planning, and relationship management to successfully deliver mission-critical power infrastructure for data center clients. Job Responsibilities Project Development and Coordination Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of hyperscale data center projects from site selection to operational handoff. Serve as the primary liaison between engineering, construction, permitting, procurement, and operations teams. Identify new development opportunities performing site assessment, fatal flaw analysis, initial site reconnaissance, survey coordination, and other due diligence on new and existing projects. Collaborate with internal teams focusing on site acquisition, real estate, permitting, interconnection, environmental, and policy aspects. Obtain necessary crossing agreements such as pipeline, transmission line, DOT, UPRR, communications, sewer and water, and more. Manage/Contract external entities for aspects of the project such as survey, Geotech, environmental conditions, civil design, electrical design, etc. Manage and report project data related to budget, schedule, and deliverables. Technical Oversight Provide technical input and oversight for electrical system design, including medium and high voltage infrastructure. Support integration of fiber optic backbone for facility connectivity and redundancy. Collaborate with controls engineers to ensure SCADA systems are designed, installed, and commissioned to project requirements. Oversee site power architecture, including backup systems, UPS, switchgear, and generators. Develop scopes of work (SOWs), request for proposals (RFPs), and bid evaluations for equipment and services. Maintain compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations (NEC, IEEE, OSHA, etc.). Stakeholder Engagement and Business Development Analyze and communicate project status, risks, schedule, and costs to all stakeholders. Represent the company at community/legacy meetings and engage with landowners, officials, and other stakeholders, as needed. Gather market intelligence and foster relationships with stakeholders, including officials/regulators, utilities, RTOs, community leaders, and landowners to support project development. Lead all aspects of proposal development and submission, including project planning, budgeting, and scheduling. Establish critical project objectives with clients and lead contract preparation and negotiations. Plan, organize, and communicate project personnel needs to department management. Offer guidance and training to junior staff members in technical and industry aspects. Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Experience Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field. 5+ years of professional experience in large-scale infrastructure or data center projects. Demonstrated knowledge of electrical distribution systems (medium & high voltage) and familiarity with SCADA systems and controls integration. Knowledge or experience with gas-fired power generation. Ability to travel 25% of the time to project sites, industry events, and company events. Understanding of regulatory requirements and agreements related to government, utilities, local permits, and land. Proficiency in software tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, MS Project, Word, and PowerPoint), Bluebeam, and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Strong organizational, networking, leadership, and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Critical thinking skills with problem-solving abilities. Strong interest in the data center and energy sector with a desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment. High attention to detail and strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Ability to work productively with limited supervision. Exemplary standards of integrity, honor, safety, management, ethics, quality, and productivity. Initiative, drive, and project portfolio growth is THE key competency of a Project Manager. ***NOTE: While the corporate office is located in Las Vegas, Nevada, this position requires the applicant to be a resident of Colorado or be willing to relocate to the greater Denver metro area.
