Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to perform a high volume of journal entries, ensuring the accuracy and alignment of financial records. The role involves handling billing processes for various business lines and managing client invoices through the monthly cycle process. The successful candidate will follow up with clients to ensure timely payment, resolve discrepancies, and oversee month-end, fiscal year-end, and calendar year-end processes.
Responsibilities
Perform a high volume of journal entries to ensure accurate financial records. Ensure all financial records are aligned and balanced. Handle billing processes for various business lines, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing. Manage client invoices through the monthly cycle process. Follow up with clients to ensure timely payment and resolve any discrepancies. Oversee month-end close, fiscal year-end (October), and calendar year-end (December) processes. Utilize ERP systems, preferably Deltek Vision. Prepare and book journal entries for month-end and year-end. Conduct reconciliations including general ledger and intercompany accounts. Prepare 1099s and manage accounts payable.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting roles. Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Hands-on experience with financial systems and ERP platforms (Deltek Vision preferred). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other advanced functions.

Eagerness to learn and adapt quickly. Willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a new industry.
Work Environment
This is a 100% remote position requiring a stable internet connection. Equipment will be provided and shipped to the candidate. Candidates can be located anywhere on the East Coast, working hours are 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM with a one-hour lunch break. You will work in a small, collaborative team with opportunities for training and development, where everyone is willing to help out.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
