The Utilities Design Manager will supervise and coordinate all utility design works for major transportation projects (min. $250M/project) with a utility relocation budget of at least $50M. The UDC will oversee a team of design consultants, providing technical oversight during planning, design, and construction. Responsibilities and Duties:
Support the selection of utility design consultants, manage and coordinate their work, attend utility meetings, and coordinate utility design and agreements. Utility Conflict Matrix Identify utilities, implement conflict resolution strategies, review owner documents, and update utility conflict matrices throughout the project. Prepare Utility Relocation Preliminary Design Manage utility relocation design development, update utility concept plans, and coordinate conflict resolution options. ROW & Easements Review property interests, prepare property matrices, and support easement acquisition processes. BOQ and Cost Estimation Develop estimates for utility relocation costs and schedules. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or MEP, with at least 5 years of utility coordination experience on highway design/construction projects, particularly on Public/Private Partnership or Design-Build projects.
