Cordia Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Ledger Accounting Manager to lead and support the general ledger and month-end close processes. This role will oversee a team of accounting staff and play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, resolving discrepancies, and supporting audit readiness. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership skills, and a hands-on approach.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the general ledger and manage the month-end close process • Perform and review variance analysis and resolve discrepancies in account balances • Supervise the accounting team and provide guidance and development • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules and ensure proper accounting treatment • Support intercompany transactions and consolidation of financial statements • Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and coordinate audit requests • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required • CPA a plus • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including supervisory experience • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting principles • Experience with fixed assets and consolidations • Proven ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
