Job Summary

Mirbeau Inn and Spa is looking to add a part-time server to our Event Staff.

Rate: $6.75 per hour plus tips

Responsibilities

Review scheduled functions with the F&B Manager and communicate needs regarding functions.

Greet guests upon arrival and departure.

Maintain an adequate supply of clean china and glassware.

Watch the buffet line to ensure all items are full and presented nicely.

Report needed equipment or equipment failure.

Ensure food is on time during functions and keep good communication with kitchen staff.

Set up stations and tables with linen, tableware, and condiments.

Serve food and beverages to customers in banquet rooms in a friendly and appropriate manner.

Receive food from the kitchen and serve food courses to guests.

Answer questions as to food preparation and choice of beverage and desserts.

Remove used tableware and linen from tables at end of event.

Clean spilled food and beverage from the banquet room floor and rack dirty dishes.

Maintain the service area neat and clean.

Assist the guests in obtaining other goods and services that may be needed.

Keep the manager informed of all guests' reactions and comments.

Report to work in a clean uniform with a nametag at the scheduled time.

Qualifications, Skills & Educational Requirements

This position requires a pleasant personality and a neat appearance. Knowledge of food items and experience serving in the industry are preferred. The ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and lift 40 lbs. is desired.
