Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and fast-moving Electrical Engineer with experience in embedded systems, power electronics, and sensor integration. You will play a leading role in the design, layout, and validation of advanced electronics systems, including high-speed interfaces, smart power management, and sensor fusion architectures. This role is ideal for someone who can move quickly from concept to production with a high level of design accuracy and system awareness.
Key Responsibilities
Design, layout, and bring-up of high-quality, manufacturable PCBs under tight deadlines. Develop custom embedded carrier boards interfacing processors, sensors, and communication protocols. Engineer smart fusing and MOSFET switching circuits for autonomous vehicle power distribution and protection. Design robust power systems including step-down/up converters, overcurrent/undervoltage protection, and low-noise analog supply rails. Integrate and validate MEMS sensors (IMUs, barometers, magnetometers, etc.) across digital buses. Implement and troubleshoot high-speed and industrial data links including Gigabit Ethernet, CANbus, UART, and M.2-based modules. Perform EMI-aware design practices, signal integrity analysis, and support for EMC testing and compliance. Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and AI teams throughout the design lifecycle to ensure tight system integration. Manage design reviews, documentation, and validation reports for both prototype and production-grade systems. Minimum Qualifications
B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in PCB design and embedded hardware development. Proficient in Altium Designer, KiCad, or equivalent PCB layout tools. Demonstrated experience with power electronics, digital/analog circuit design, and hardware debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers). Strong understanding of EMI/EMC, grounding, shielding, and differential signal layout techniques. Solid knowledge of embedded communication protocols and physical interfaces. Strong documentation and cross-discipline collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications (Bonus)
Hands-on experience with NVIDIA Jetson platforms, embedded Linux carrier boards, or SOMs. Familiarity with real-time autopilot control systems, or IMUs. Experience designing for ruggedized, autonomous, or mobile robotics platforms. Exposure to ISO 7637, CISPR 25, or MIL-STD EMI standards.
Why Join AION Robotics?
Work on cutting-edge robotic systems deployed in real-world, high-impact industries. Join a close-knit team of deeply technical engineers passionate about autonomy and innovation.
