Our award-winning seating solutions are developed from consumer research, finding the ease of operation to be comfortable, convenient and connected.Job Responsibilities:Position Title: Electrical Controls Engineer FLSA Status: ExemptReports To: Engineering Manager Department: EngineeringDivision: Techcraft Seating SystemsSUPERVISES: N/ABack up for Primary Tasks: Engineering ManagerJOB FUNCTIONS:Primary TasksMaintaining a maintenance database for generating work orders and PM'sMaintain a Predictive Maintenance programMaintain a spare parts inventory for department to keep production machines runningMaintain various building equipment ex: Boilers, Generator, Switch gear, Rest rooms, Compressors, and associated lines or wires, and control load balancingMaintain automated stations from robotics, Electronics, pneumatics, and hydraulicsOversee all aspects of the Continuous Improvement / Grow CommitteeProgram, maintain, and troubleshoot all plant PLC'sAdditional Tasks:Keep records of all PM's and other documents for auditing purposesAssist Engineering Manager in the generation of ISO, and IATF documentation for quality reviewsMaintain a performance metrics for the maintenance departmentProvide assistance when needed to Production and Quality departments regarding quality and performance issuesAcquire information needed for various building projects, complete in house or contract sourceWork with and monitor any needed contractors various projectsBe a contributing part of various teams, such as Ergo, Safety, HealthAssist in determining tooling, fixturing, and equipment requirementsMonitor training requirements and status, perform in-house training of personnelResponsible for environmental wastes, materials, and recyclingResponsible for maintaining equipment downtime or uptime KPI'sAssist Engineering Manager with supervision of Maintenance Technicians as neededUse appropriate PPE when necessary and ensure employees are wearing appropriate PPE when necessaryCooperate with outside inspectors and auditors (IATF/ISO, OSHA, Magna, etc.) when necessaryKnowledgeable of safety and shop rules and enforce fairlyAdvise employees of the existence of known potential or actual danger to the health or safety of the employeeUnderstand your responsibility for health and safety in the workplace, including responsibility for visitors and general public in the workplaceComplete all accident reports and investigations in timely mannerCorrect unsafe acts and work conditions in timely mannerOversee NFPA 70 complianceAll duties as assigned by the Engineering ManagerJOB SPECIFICATIONS:Qualifications:A four (4) year degree in Engineering, and 5 years of maintenance experienceProficient in the Windows software suite, and various maintenance softwareHave knowledge of various electronics, ex: PLC's VFD'sSuperior level of analytical ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and develop resolutionsHigh level of interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and present information to suppliers, management, employees, and corporate personnelAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
