TE Connectivity's Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication. Responsibilities
As a Quality and Reliability Engineer, you are responsible for: Act as the point of contact for customer complaints. Handle customer complaints and issues and ensure these are resolved in line with TE processes and procedures. Mobilize teams of direct and non-direct reports to address customer issues. Ensure that customer complaints and issues are resolved with a sense of urgency. Bring the Voice of the Customer (VOC) to the operations and functional teams. Analyze customer complaints and recommend and implement action plans and improved processes to prevent the recurrence of customer complaints for assigned GPLs. Read and understand drawings and specification documents. Exposure to Design and process validation testing, and understanding test specifications. Analyze customer information manufacturing processes, and data to identify possible risks, understand the consequences of costs, and determine the viability of customer partnerships. Communicate with customers and internal groups regarding customer-reported problems and manufacturing quality problems. Modify communications and style to deal appropriately with customers from a range of cultural backgrounds and to suit the sensitivity of the topic. Drive FMEA meetings to achieve the quality standard, structure, and content by capturing past failures and lessons learned. Support Safe Launch for New projects to ensure '0' customer complaints before handing over the project to the manufacturing site. What Your Background Should Look Like:
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the Quality Engineer Role Knowledge and experience in the use of Quality tools (6-Sigma, Product compliance, LEAN manufacturing, Quality standards, Project Management skills) University engineering degree (Mechanical engineering, Process engineering, Manufacturing engineering preferred); Familiarity with polymer material and MGP is a plus Technical skills and demonstrated experience in engineering assignments: ability to read drawings and specification documents Power BI knowledge is desired Team player / Teamwork mindset Continuous improvement mindset Competencies
