Job Summary

The Banquet Server is assigned to work Banquet events and is responsible for preparation, service during the event as well as clean up during and at the close of the event. Duties include setting patron tables and buffet areas (if applicable) for service. During service, a Banquet Server accommodates all guests and is responsible for replenishing buffet food or serving plated food, refilling beverages, removing dirty dishes from tables and assist in additional tasks to help facilitate a smooth and efficient service.

Duties and Responsibilities

Including, but not limited to: Prepare room for dining by clothing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, utensils, and other items as applicable. Follow Banquet Event Order (BEO) or supervisor's instructions. Serve patrons with food and beverages in a positive and friendly manner. Provide information to help food and beverage selections, if needed. Present ordered choices in a prompt and efficient manner. Maintain dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitude. Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices and identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests. Keep kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression. Serve orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen and delivering accompaniments and condiments from service bars. Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies. Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs and observing dining process. Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs. Perform clean up duties following event to return the venue to its normal appearance. Requirements

6 months banquet serving experience preferred Must have strong customer service skills and professional demeanor Strand Core Values
