Evaluation Period: Annual performance evaluations if the student works the entire academic year. If the student works one semester, the performance evaluation will be completed after that semester

Purpose: To assist our shoppers in the free food pantry make their selections, work with volunteers in the thrift store to help sort donations, keep things organized, and assist with customer questions.

Duties: Stocking and organizing pantry shelves Unloading and sorting of donations Organizing and cleaning warehouse and thrift area Assist customers to their vehicles with their shopping cart Assist with organizing stock in thrift store Checking and logging food temperatures Qualifications

Currently enrolled student at Mount St. Joseph University Must be eligible for Federal Work Study Ability to work on own initiative, independently, and to deadlines Well organized, punctual, and reliable The ability to communicate sensitively and tactfully, both orally and in writing, with individuals at all levels within the University Team-player mentality desire to serve/help in a nonprofit setting willingness to learn preferably (but not mandatory) have a drivers' license proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, basic math skills. Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Ability to walk around the pantry and thrift stores. Ability to bend/stoop to pick up items, and hang/place them in designated locations. Work with volunteers to upkeep the thrift store and food pantry as needed.
