Lex Products is a leading manufacturer of power distribution and control systems for the entertainment, industrial, and military industries. This is a unique opportunity for you to be involved with a made in the USA manufacturing company.
The Senior General Accountant is an integral part of the Companys Finance team. This highly visible role paves the path for you to add to your professional skill set while partnering with the Departments Controller and CFO. Your financial and accounting acumen will expand while you provide Lex a broad range of responsibilities including timely and accurately recording of the Companys transactions; providing key financial reports to Management; completing month end and year end closing tasks; and supporting preparation of monthly financial reports.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Prepare and record month end and general journal entries. Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations. Complete various account reconciliations: researching and investigating discrepancies as needed. Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules. Support audit requests and provide documentation as needed. Prepare work papers for year-end audit. Support AP and AR functions. Post AP invoices, process AP payments via ACH/Wire & check. AP and AR dispute resolutions. Assist with creating work instructions to maintain and adapt accounting internal controls. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies. Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities. Assist with special accounting projects as needed. Perform other duties as required.
A well-qualified candidate will possess the following:
Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Five plus years general accounting experience in manufacturing setting preferred. Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness. Strong knowledge of ERP systems and US GAAP required. Proficiency in MS Excel, including Pivot Tables and V Lookup formulas. Proficiency in MS Word, and MS Office. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Excellent math aptitude. Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
