Premier PV is searching for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Cost Accountant to join our dynamic team in Dallas, TX or Baton Rouge, LA. Reporting to the Accounting Manager. Premier PV is searching for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Cost Accountant to join our dynamic team in Dallas, TX or Baton Rouge, LA. Reporting to the Accounting Manager. The Senior Cost Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting our manufacturing group. Premier PV is a leading manufacturer of solar electrical balance of systems solutions and renewable energy products, dedicated to advancing sustainable energy technologies. Our mission is to provide innovative, efficient, and reliable products that enhance solar energy systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with Operations in Standard Cost creation and maintenance Prepare and provide analyses of cost variances Be the SME in cost-related matters, work effective with cross-functional partners Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counts Performs annual cost rolls Lead the monthly close process relating to Revenue and COGS, including preparation of journal entries, allocations, reconciliations, and financial reports Assist with quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting in COGS related matters Research and interpret COGS data to answer accounting and financial questions Ensure the integrity of internal controls in compliance with SOX and company policies Participate in ad hoc projects and additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in accounting required Working knowledge of US GAAP standards and applications, including reading and understanding the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow Proven track record in working in a high volume, low mix manufacturing environment as a member of the costing team Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook) Superior analytical skills, combined with business judgment and effective communication abilities Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, integrity, and professionalism Able to work independently and as part of a team Experience with ERP accounting software (e.g., Viewpoint, SAP)
BENEFITS AND PAY:
Competitive salary range of $86k - $101k annually, based on experience and qualifications. Generous benefits package including paid holidays, PTO, sick leave as per state regulations, medical/dental/vision insurance, FSA/HSA, disability coverages, and a 401K plan with matching contributions.
