General Summary: The Enterprise Data Architect or Data Modelling Lead will play a critical role in shaping the future of our data capabilities as part of the strategic Enterprise Data Transformation (EDT) program. We are seeking a visionary, hands-on leader to build a modern enterprise-wide lake house with scalable, reliable, and business-oriented data architecture to support self-service capabilities across Data & Analytics solutions. This role will be an individual contributor working closely with cross-functional teams to develop an enterprise data model supporting Analytics, GenBI, AI/ML, and Data Sandboxing solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Define and lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the data platform (data lakes, warehouses, governance, data quality, observability), aligning with business objectives and technological advancements to enable data platforms as strategic enablers for AI. • Rapidly design and develop data models (functional, logical, physical) in advanced cloud solutions such as AWS-based Databricks platform, ensuring seamless data integration, quality, compliance, and security. • Map existing legacy Data warehouses to develop an enterprise-level data model supporting the medallion architecture lakehouse platform for current and future GenAI analytics needs. • Collaborate with business stakeholders and internal data solutions teams to enable self-service capabilities. • Work with IT and Business teams with a product mindset to ensure data models meet business needs and foster innovation. Collaborate globally to ensure high-quality and timely delivery. • Promote innovation by challenging existing processes and proposing scalable, creative solutions. Qualifications: • 14+ years of IT-related experience in Data and Analytics with a Bachelor's degree. • 7+ years of enterprise data modeling experience. • 3+ years of experience interacting with senior leadership and leading data platform modernization. • Strong functional knowledge across various corporate functions. • Hands-on experience building complex data models supporting analytics needs. • Experience working with cross-functional teams including Data Engineering, Analytics, SMEs, and Business stakeholders. • Passion for understanding and migrating legacy data solutions to Databricks medallion architecture. • Ownership and accountability for project delivery. Minimum Qualifications: • 7+ years of IT experience with a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or 9+ years without a degree. • 5+ years programming experience (e.g., Java, Python). • 3+ years experience with SQL or NoSQL databases. • 3+ years experience with data structures and algorithms. • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field. • 12+ years in data management, engineering, or science roles, with at least 7 years in enterprise data modeling and data modernization. • Strong understanding of lakehouse medallion architecture and governance. • Proven experience migrating legacy data models to 3-layer medallion architecture. • Passion for exploring GenAI solutions for documentation and strategic data modeling. • Experience with machine learning, AI, and predictive analytics is a plus. • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills in a global environment. • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
