We are seeking a Patch & Vulnerability Management Specialist to own and drive our enterprise-wide patching and remediation program. This role is critical to minimizing organizational risk by ensuring the timely identification, prioritization, testing, deployment, and verification of security patches across all supported environments. In addition to patch deployment, this role will specialize in vulnerability management with a focus on patch-driven remediation-ensuring vulnerabilities identified by scanning tools are triaged, assigned, and closed within defined SLAs. The Specialist will serve as the bridge between vulnerability management and patch operations, directly contributing to risk reduction, compliance, and maintaining secure and reliable operations across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises infrastructure.

Required Skills

Patch Management Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with enterprise patching tools (WSUS, MECM/SCCM, Intune, Patch My PC).

Vulnerability Management: Familiarity with tools such as Tenable, Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management; ability to interpret findings and prioritize remediation.

Operating Systems Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Windows Server/Desktop, Linux distributions, and macOS/iOS patching processes.

Change & Configuration Management: Experience integrating patching activities into change control and configuration baselines.

Reporting & Metrics: Ability to generate compliance dashboards and executive summaries showing patch/vulnerability status and SLA adherence.

Troubleshooting & Remediation: Strong skills in diagnosing and resolving patch deployment failures.

Collaboration: Ability to coordinate with system/application owners, compliance teams, and security engineers.

Optional / Preferred Skills

Scripting & Automation: PowerShell, Python, or Bash for patch automation, exception handling, or reporting.

SIEM Integration: Experience with Splunk or similar SIEM platforms for patch event monitoring and alerting.

Testing & Validation: Familiarity with automation testing tools (e.g., LoginVSI) for patch validation.

Cloud Environments: Experience patching workloads in Azure, AWS, or hybrid environments.

Certification(s): CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Endpoint Administrator, CISSP, or GIAC certification in vulnerability management.

Incident Response: Experience participating in security incident investigations related to unpatched vulnerabilities.
